It's Sunshine Week, a great time to celebrate openness in government.
Yet interestingly enough, Gov. Ed Rendell is coming to town Tuesday for a conference at the Penn Stater and among his meetings is a closed meeting with Penn State student leaders.

Closed? At a conference that's open and including a governor who reaches out for publicity at every turn, especially when he comes to Happy Valley.
I guess so. I've appealed it to the governor's office, saying taxpayers and parents should know what issues are discussed in such a meeting. Particularly since those issues will be about their money, most likely.
A little sunshine never hurts. And by this time the good governor should know that.
