I enjoy speaking to classes, and I started today on campus to talk to an English class that meets at 8 a.m.
Yes, there still are 8 a.m. classes at Penn State, and the students in Judy McKelvey's Writing in the Social Sciences class were wide awake and engaged in their topic.
In fact, these students asked more questions than students in midday classes, and all were good as we discussed the excessive drinking culture.
The class project has been to study this issue and to report to the community, and we'll feature student work on April 26 as part of our Focus on Excessive Drinking weekly series.
The class presentation will take place April 28 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the State College Municipal Building.
