13 in a row

We received great news today in the annual state journalism contest sponsored by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association.

Our staffers won a raft of awards and we again won the Keystone sweepstakes as the best paper in the state in our circulation class. That marks 13 straight years for the overall honor.

Among the first places: Investigative reporting, Ed Mahon for State College swap coverage; Niche publication, our Good Life magazine; ongoing news coverage, Penn State student drinking; online breaking news coverage, the October snow storm, and front page design, Matt Hymowitz.

This is great recognition for a talented and hard working staff, and we'll publish details on Sunday.

Here arethe full state results. The Centre Daily Times competes in Division 4.
