My printed column has moved to Saturday, and here's the first.
Our Saturday readership is great, and the move is being made to allow us to run David Brooks as a second national voice to Leonard Pitts on Sunday.
Pitts' many fans would be amazed, troubled or just surprised how some readers get so upset with his columns and want him pulled from the paper.
Pitts writes thoughtful columns, and I'd think they could spark conversation in homes.
Brooks too writes thoughtful columns, from the conservative side, and he should win favor with readers.
There isn't enough room for three columns on Sunday's page, so I'll move and perhaps preview the weekend. Glad to do it.
On Saturday I told of the primetime TV listing coming back daily and of a great response of young readers to our story.
