Let me just say that Division I hockey at a new arena at Penn State will be a hot ticket in Happy Valley.
A perfect fit, so to speak.
Of course, there are some who say the $88 million should go to academics and help lower tuition for kids.
That would be great, wouldn't it? But the simple fact is that the donors, in this case Terry and Kim Pegula, gave the money to Penn State for hockey. That's what they wanted, and it happened to be what Penn State wanted.
There wasn't a choice -- academics or sports. The money was for hockey.
It's rather simple. And it's a perfect fit.
Congratulations to above all Joe Battista, for working so hard for so long for this to become a reality.
