Penn State is going to have a Thanksgiving weekend game every two years.
The first one occurred Saturday, and half the student section was empty.
That's to be expected, since the university has made short a Thanksgiving break into a 10-day hiatus for many.
So the students aren't here and can't go to the game.
Fine. Penn State should break that final ticket from the student ID and offer it around Centre County to people who can't afford to go to the games.
Many people would attend and would likely fill the empty student sections. And there would be a win-win.
Anyone at Penn State who saw the mostly empty student sections today should push for this change.
