Whenever Penn State funding takes a hit, the College of Ag is in the target zone.
It will be no different this year, only that almost everything will be in the target zone if the governor's cuts go through.
That's for further discussion, of course, but it hits me that programs such as well water testing by the College of Ag are critical for Pennsylvanians and should not face any cuts.
This effort to study the impact of gas drilling is important and will remain important.
I don't think anyone, including Gov. Corbett, would want that to go away. Just something to keep in mind as Ag faces uncertain funding.
