PA Farm Show Butter Sculpture unveiled: Watch how it came together
Ahead of the start of the Pennsylvania Farm Show this weekend, one of its most beloved traditions was unveiled Thursday.
The 35th annual Pennsylvania Farm Show Butter Sculpture honors the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and Pennsylvania’s role in the birth of the nation and the growth of American agriculture, according to a press release from American Dairy Association North East.
Artists Jim Victor and Marie Pelton of Conshohocken used more than 1,000 pounds of butter donated by Land O’Lakes in Carlisle. They spent several weeks crafting the piece onsite in the Main Hall of the Farm Show in Harrisburg.
A timelapse video showing the process was released by American Dairy Association North East Thursday, and can be viewed above.
