Thumbs up: To participants in the Pennsylvania Music Education Association Region III Band Festival, who have come to State College from 53 school districts. This group of some of the state’s most talented young musicians will perform Saturday at Eisenhower Auditorium.
Thumbs down: To Karl Rominger, a lawyer for Jerry Sandusky, who surrendered his law license this week in the wake of an investigation into allegations of misappropriation of client funds. And the IRS has filed more than $300,000 in tax liens against him.
Thumbs up: To a group of individuals who have stepped up to offer input on the design, promotion, organization and economic structure of downtown Bellefonte. The goals and mission of the Keystone Community Program began to take shape at the first of two meetings Thursday.
