Our View | Thumbs up, down

Thumbs up: To Miles Township Fire Company members for collecting donated items for Mifflin County residents displaced by the March 27 fire that destroyed their homes in Juniata Terrace. Though not at the scene that night, the company is responding just the same.

Thumbs down: To Jonathan Tenalio, of Bellefonte, who pleaded guilty to robbing three local businesses last fall, including twice threatening an employee with a pellet gun. In exchange for just $525, he’ll get 12 to 30 years in prison.

Thumbs up: To retired school bus driver Dorothy Solt, recently recognized by the Bald Eagle Area school board for logging more than 400,000 miles during almost 38 years of driving BEA students. Thanks, Dorothy, for your service. Now you can finally sleep late.
