The Penn State board of trustees voted to expand the size of the board to 33 voting members. In the Penn State Smeal Business School, they teach that an effective board is 12 to 15 members all with voting rights. That a smaller, leaner board is more flexible and agile to deal with issues.
Does anyone else see a problem here? It is time to practice what we preach! I say vote out all the incumbents. Maybe then the board will be interested in improving Penn State instead of improve their own credentials.
