Our View | Thumbs up, thumbs down for Saturday

Thumbs up: To Centre County state police — and troopers from throughout Pennsylvania — who are helping in the search for Eric Frein, the suspect in the Sept. 12 killing of Trooper Bryan Dickson. These officers are putting themselves in harm’s way in to protect others.

Thumbs up: To the #sackcancer campaign and to the groups that are selling Devon Still jersey-style T-shirts to benefit pediatric cancer organizations. Still’s 4-year-old daughter, Leah, is being treated for neuroblastoma at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Thumbs up: To students, staff and volunteers at Radio Park Elementary School who have worked hard in the school’s garden to produce fruits and vegetables for school lunches. The school was recognized Thursday by state Agriculture Secretary George Greig.
