Letter to the editor: Thompson will uphold Constitution, not attack it

Voters have a clear choice Election Day.

Rep. Glenn Thompson’s opponent, a lawyer from Brookville, stridently opposes free speech and the right to own and use firearms.

Members of Congress swear an oath to support and uphold the Constitution. The First and Second Amendments to the Constitution are and have been critical in preserving a free republic.

Kerith Strano Taylor advocates limiting political speech and replacing it with what amounts to government speech. She supports increasing restrictions on law-abiding citizens’ right to own and purchase firearms — ambivalent that criminals, by definition, are not limited by increased restrictions.

On Nov. 4, vote for the Constitution. Vote for Thompson.
