On behalf of the Patton Township Business Association, I would like to thank Patton Township Chief of Police John Petrick for his 15 years of service to our community. He was an excellent police chief.
His officers are well trained and highly respected. Our police department is one of the few in Pennsylvania that has been accredited by the PA Chief of Police Association, an accreditation reflecting the quality of our officers and our chief. Chief Petrick is held in high esteem by the men and women who worked for him.
During the past 16 years, our police department and business association have partnered to sponsor an annual Patton Township Children’s Fair that is open to the entire community. Crime Prevention and Community Relations Officer Tom Snyder and I greatly appreciated the support we received from Chief Petrick.
When I was president of the Financial Planning Association of Central Pennsylvania, I interacted with colleagues throughout the nation. When I bragged about the Patton Township Police Department, they were always amazed that our police and our business association have had a positive working relationship for many years. In many of their communities, that was not their experience.
