Recently my family members and I had a joyous experience. My granddaughter, her boyfriend and their friends graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans. They are all spirited, intelligent and enthusiastic about their futures.
I’m wondering what their futures hold. With 97 percent of international scientists saying that climate change is happening, and predicting catastrophic extreme weather all around the world, how will they enjoy their country and their world? I’m wondering if they will be able to travel clean waterways and catch healthy fish. Will their children and grandchildren have clean air to breathe?
Climate change is real, it threatens our well-being, and it is happening now.
For the sake of our children, their children, and future generations, let’s educate ourselves about climate change, and get involved to make our representatives in Congress do something about it.
