Letters to the Editor

Letter to the editor | What if, indeed?

In response to Paul Hay’s letter, Trayvon Martin did not kill George Zimmerman.

He did not track him down.

He did not have a loaded gun.

He did not even have a chance to lie to police about what happened, as Zimmerman did.

He did not have the opportunity to call police for help because he did not know in advance that he was going to be tracked down and shot.

He is dead because some wanna-be cop wanted to use his gun.

Who says he is afraid, leaves the security of his vehicle and goes in the dark to follow someone he is afraid will cause him harm? Someone with a plan and a loaded gun.

I hope Zimmerman has to look over his shoulder the rest of his life. But, then again, he has a life to live.

What if Zimmerman had driven off?

Martin would have gone home, eaten his Skittles, drunk his drink and watched a game on TV with his dad.

Just wondering which is the better outcome?
