Tea party members were entertained in Washington by their friends from the House — momentarily back in town from a streak of serial vacations — after a grueling two days of work in August voting to repeal Obamacare for the 40th time, cutting food stamps for children and slashing unemployment benefits.
In the past eight months, House members have worked 91 days.
The party with the silly hats recently gathered in Washington demanding an end to the Affordable Care Act, likening President Barack Obama, a quiet leader whose signature legislation extended health care benefits to 40 million Americans, including children, to Hitler, a psychotic miscreant who murdered millions of people.
The boys and girls have also returned, they say, to help share the burden of the Syria decision with the president, even as they assail him on his lack of manliness in dealing with dictators, his indecisiveness, his propensity for scandal and, curiously, his war mongering.

Onward they plod with reckless abandon, claiming to speak for the American people, despite the fact that 1 million more votes were cast for Democrats in the House than for Republicans in the 2012 elections.
