If there were justice in the Jerry Sandusky case, Penn State and/or its insurers would not be the primary deep-pocketed parties held responsible to pay $60 million to his rape victims; rather the perpetrator, his family and those that enabled him to engage in his heinous crime spree would be impoverished.
In our odd world, Sandusky is not being rendered penniless and he has had the audacity to fight for a generous pension benefit, which he earned while engaging in a criminal betrayal of trust and basic human decency as he victimized innocent, vulnerable, needy boys.
It is gratifying that significant compensation can be provided to those whose lives were turned upside down by a vicious child predator.
