Letters to the Editor

Letter to the editor | We don’t all live there

Walking across campus this past weekend with my daughter, whom I had taken back from Thanksgiving break, I was struck by the large banners proclaiming “Penn State Lives Here.”

Although I have always felt that Penn State does not need rebranding, this slogan is downright ridiculous. To tarnish the front of stately buildings that have stood for decades and longer, especially the library, is criminal.

Paying out-of-state tuition is difficult. To see money wasted on such a worthless campaign is upsetting. The banners are atrocious and have no place on a beautiful campus.

As usual, the university continues to waste students’ money and should be more concerned about reining in the cost of tuition as a start.

No more PR campaigns. “We are” says it all.
