Letter to the editor | Not warming to climate change

Why has Michael Mann retained his professorship at Penn State in spite of the overwhelming evidence that he is wrong?

The ice on both poles is expanding. The Earth is cooling despite ever increasing amounts of harmless carbon dioxide being spewed into the atmosphere by China, India and Russia.

There has been no global warming for 15 years. Hundreds of top scientists have said global warming is not true, that they have been lied to. “Ship of Fools.” “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Chris Turney, a professor of climate change at Australia’s University of New South Wales, said it was “silly” to suggest he and 73 others aboard the MV Akademic Shokalskiy were trapped in ice they’d sought to prove had melted. He remained adamant that sea ice is melting, even as the boat remained trapped in frozen seas.

Ice breakers were unable to get closer than 10 miles from the stranded ship, which was surrounded by ice up to 10 feet thick. They were stuck from Christmas Eve until Thursday.

Turney’s ridiculous statement is further proof that global warming professors are not to be trusted. They should be fired and their departments abolished.

Their false global warming theory has been continually and thoroughly discredited yet they continue their lies. If it was accepted that no global warming has existed for 15 years, would Turney be a professor of climate change?

It is time every taxpayer check state-supported schools and raise holy hell if there are professors teaching climate change nonsense at our expense

Robert Bryant, Chester, N.J.
