After attending the Penns Valley school board meeting Wednesday night, I came away proud of our community.
Penns Valley is a community where voices are heard and things get done. It takes courage to stand up for what you believe in, to share your opinions, go against possibly what is popular or accepted.
Penns Valley has a history of this, as seen years ago when Rebersburg Elementary School was kept open after being threatened with closure.
We are not perfect by any means and have much controversy and differing of opinions, but we are a healthy community where voices are heard.
