According to an article in Thursday’s CDT, more men will be eligible to take statins than before.
It looks like these men should be delighted to be allowed to take these cholesterol-lowering pills. Does anybody ever warn them that the use instructions state clearly that, in 15 to 20 percent of the cases, statins will affect their muscle system?
I was advised to take statins, and I can now lift only 3 pounds overhead with my right arm and 2 pounds with my left arm.
It is time for medical researchers to look for better ways to prevent high cholesterol levels.
