Letter to the Editor | Students shouldn’t be punished

A question for Tim Edkin: When do the innocent Penn State football players stop being punished (“ Don’t ‘return’ PSU wins,” Sept. 16, CDT)? Those who played under coach Joe Paterno have not fallen off the face of the Earth. They went to class, they went to practice, they played hard for their alma mater, and they are now leading productive lives in society. They deserve to be acknowledged for all of these efforts.

Fortunately, we do not live in a society that promotes punishing the innocent. Perhaps you should put yourself in their “shoes” and re-examine your thought process.
