Letter to the editor: BJC booze another bad idea

Just when my opinion of the Penn State board of trustees had descended to an all-time low, along came a double whammy.

It is hypocritical that the university has decided to permit the sales of alcohol at the Bryce Jordan Center during the Garth Brooks concert while trying to discourage Penn State’s reputation as a party school, and even paying bars to desist from selling alcohol on “State Patty’s Day.”

Along with this, Bill Ayers, founder of the Weathermen and active in bombing numerous buildings during his past, had been “invited” to speak at our institution. Look up his bio if in disbelief of his past. Don’t ask me for any donations during your campaigns. This is not the Penn State I wish to have been associated with.
