I support Janet Engeman for State College Borough Council.
Before I knew Engeman, I had seen her several times, going home in her wheelchair and carrying a bag of treats for the dogs that lived along her way.
We got to know each other during the gas pipeline fight in March 2013. She was always the first to speak at the public hour, and I was always floored by how well she articulated her thoughts. She always gets to the heart of the problem and is not afraid to speak her mind.
Engeman has been a fixture at the borough council and the planning commission meetings since March 2013.

She works hard to voice the concerns of our community. Being in a wheelchair makes this especially difficult during the icy winter months, but she always perseveres.
Engeman has been relentless in questioning new developments and in ensuring the concerns of students and community members are addressed by the council before a new development is passed.
I am excited that she is running for borough council. It will help our town tremendously to have an involved representative like her.
