In the 3rd Ward of Bellefonte, we residents at last can vote for Joanne Tosti-Vasey in the May 19 primary, so that we may elect her as our Borough Council representative in November.
We so want the fresh and conscientious dedication to her constituents that she stands for and her pledge to protect our beautiful town.
Tosti-Vasey is eminently qualified for Borough Council: She is a resident of almost 30 years and an elected Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee member who works on behalf of pivotal issues, from the local to the national level.
Her single most imperative trait for our situation here in Bellefonte is the straight-forward openness she promises. She unfailingly elicits our trust for transparent and, indeed, honest borough government.

Several months ago, Borough Council voted to approve the architectural plans for its developer’s “Bellefonte Mews” project, replacing the Garman Theatre and Hotel Do De. Yet the public council meeting for community input and comment was reserved for a week later, after the fact!
Once again, too little, too late. That case obviously was moot; my case, however, rests.
