Janet Engeman was born in Centre County and graduated from State High. In retirement, she has returned to live in the Highlands neighborhood of State College and settled in to work with a number of community organizations, focusing especially on environmental and sustainability issues.
Since 2013, when she became a leader in the movement to persuade Penn State to keep its new gas pipeline (mostly) away from residential neighborhoods, Engeman has become a regular at State College Borough Council and Planning Commission meetings. She regularly speaks up, strongly and cogently, on issues important to the neighborhoods and to the future of State College as a whole, and provides positive suggestions for resolving current and developing problems.
Please vote for Engeman for State College Borough Council in the May 19 primary election.
