May 19 is your day to exercise your right to vote. Make sure that your vote for sheriff goes to the right man, Bryan Sampsel. He is a lifelong resident of Centre County. He has worked as a deputy sheriff for 12 years and for the past 4 years has been the supervising sergeant. He is a field training officer, a firearms instructor and an active shooter instructor. He is running for sheriff with the encouragement and endorsement of the current sheriff, Denny Nau.
He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for six years, earning multiple achievement and leadership awards. In addition, he worked for nine years at Corning Asahi, earning awards for outstanding contribution and leadership.
His experience with the Sheriff’s Department has provided him with invaluable insight into the workings of the court system, the prison system and the local police departments. He knows what it is like to be a deputy, to transport inmates, to serve arrest warrants and protection from abuse papers. He knows both the dangers and the rewards of being a deputy sheriff.
As your next sheriff, he will run a professional, ethical, efficient and fiscally responsible office. His priority will be to protect and serve the residents of Centre County while providing his deputies with the equipment, training and support necessary to safely perform their duties.
