Letter to the editor: No simple solution

Are there more guns in America than people — 310 million?

People eventually die; guns don't. Guns are as deadly today as the day they were made.

Every day thousands of new guns are sold across America, adding to the ever-increasing number.

Should laws be passed and all gun sales were to cease today — there would still be hundreds of millions of guns in America.

Some advocate gun confiscation. Who would do the collecting?

The problem of gun violence in America may be a problem without a solution.
