The Green Living page within the online Centre Daily Times is a brilliant idea. Unfortunately, the most recent article posted on the page is from 2012. The page needs to be updated regularly with articles that are prevalent to today’s environmental issues.
With updated information, more people would have the opportunity to read about the efforts our government is making or have the chance to fight climate change. For example, on Nov. 30, the United Nations climate talks begin in Paris. At these talks, President Barack Obama has the opportunity to express his concern of the global issue of climate change. As an environmentalist I hope a long-term deal, covering multiple countries, is reached to reduce carbon emissions. This will greatly reduce anthropogenic causes of climate change.
The U.N. climate talks will take place from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11. You can support the signing of a long-term deal by spreading awareness of the climate talks. There is hope that change is near. More people means more power.
