Surprised by new design choices

I agree with David A. Vogan, who recently wrote with complaint about the new design aesthetic of the CDT (CDT, 12/25), which I too have been a loyal reader of for 31 years. As an architect and interior designer by trade, with a strong foundation in graphics and design, I am surprised by the new design choices the publication has made. For me the elements forgo organization of content, and meanwhile appear happenstance. Again, just a longtime reader’s opinion.
