I was watching the State of the Union address last Tuesday night.
As President Obama was speaking, the cameras would zoom in on faces in the audience. I could see that their names were being displayed on the screen, but the names and titles were covered up by a WTAJ banner.
All it displayed was the time, a small ad, and snow delay notices. Why would these snow delay notices need to be displayed after 9 p.m. during the State of the Union?
I wanted to know who was being displayed on the screen and why they were reacting to the speech the way they were. The next time our president addresses the nation, that banner should be down.
Our federal government's plans for the near future are more important than a two-hour delay that was announced 14 hours ago.
