LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Tim Lopes hit a three-run home run in the third inning, leading the Tacoma Rainiers to a 10-6 win over the Las Vegas Aviators on Sunday.
The home run by Lopes capped a four-run inning and gave the Rainiers a 4-2 lead after Ian Miller scored on a forceout earlier in the inning.
The Rainiers later added runs in four additional innings to secure the victory.
Tacoma right-hander Tyler Cloyd (1-1) picked up the win after allowing two runs on five hits over 5 2/3 innings. Opposing starter Tanner Anderson (3-3) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after a rough outing in which he allowed five runs and four hits over four innings.
Mark Payton homered and singled, driving in four runs for the Aviators.
