Centre County Baseball League: Pleasant Gap beats Lemont

Pleasant Gap turned in a seven-run fifth inning to deal the Lemont Ducks just their fourth loss of the season on Wednesday.

The Peppers (5-12) hooked up for five straight hits in the top of the fifth and plated runners with each swing of the bat in the 10-6 win. Dan Roan’s two-run home run was the final stroke for the Peppers who dealt a loss to Lemont pitcher Seth Whitehill.

Steven Alterio picked up the win for Pleasant Gap. Greg Reeder added a home run for Pleasant Gap while Devon Alterio, Tony Rider, Colin Burke and Doylan Deitrich each added two hits apiece.

Scott Glass and Jordan Lunardini each hit doubles for Lemont (13-4).
