Clarence and Spring Mills traded runs back and fourth until the Braves ran off six unanswered runs in an 11-10 win on Wednesday.
Clarence (11-8) led 10-5 but Spring Mills’ offense came alive in the bottom of the sixth. The Braves (9-10) notched four straight singles, got a sacrifice fly and a two-run home run from Mike Vogt to tie the game.
A scoreless seventh preceded a wild eighth.
After Spring Mills pitcher Tyler Myers kept the Mounties off the board in the top of the eighth, the Braves got some help from Clarence reliever Jon Romine who walked the first two batters he faced then surrendered an intentional walk to load the bases. Romine’s next pitch was wild and Cody Young scored the winning run.
