Centre County Baseball League: Schall home run lifts Clarence past Pleasant Gap

John Schall lifted Clarence to a Centre County Baseball League win over Pleasant Gap with authority on Friday night.

Schall stepped to bat with the bases loaded and jacked a home run to help the Mounties to an 8-4 win against the Pleasant Gap Peppers at Shaner Sports Complex.

Schall found himself with a chance to be a difference-maker when Clarence (12-8) led off the top of the fifth inning in a scoreless game. The Mounties had three straight hits off Scott Rachau and scored on a walk and an error before Schall blasted his grand slam.

Brad Kling added two singles for the Mounties.

Pleasant Gap (5-14) got multi-hit games from Greg Reeder, Cory Cunningham and Tre Burger.
