The semifinal series between the Howard Hawks and Philipsburg Pirates continued its back and forth trend Thursday night with Howard winning 12-6 to tie the series 2-2.
Game 5 is in Philipsburg on Sunday.
The Pirates looked like they would take a stranglehold on the series with four five unanswered runs through two innings. But the Hawks came back with four of their own in the bottom of the third and two more to take the lead in the fifth. Howard put it away in the sixth. Dan Cole and Kyle Womer singled and Rusty Gates knocked them in with a double. Evan Gettig singled and Travis Price plated Gates with a single of his own. Tyler Womer dealt Philipsburg a final blow with a three-run home run to right field.
Tyler Womer also picked up the win.

Ryan Mostyn homered for the Pirates while Matt McCamley and John Shaffer notched two hits apiece.
