Centre County Treasurer Rich Fornicola announced Tuesday that antlerless deer hunting licenses for both Wildlife Management Units in Centre County — 2G and 4D — are closed.
WMU 4D, which comprises most of the county, was alloted 35,000 doe tags. WMU 2G, which begins north of Interstate 80 and extends into Clinton County, sold its allotment of 28,000 tags.
The Centre County units are two of nine statewide WMUs that have completely sold out. WMUs 1B, 2E, 2F, 2H, 4A, 4B and 4C are also sold out. As of Tuesday, 14 remaining WMU’s statewide had tags available.
Hunters can check their license status online at www.pgc.state.pa.us.
