Penn State’s Emily Giannotti and Robby Creese each won races and Penn State also took the women’s team title in the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational on Friday.

Giannotti led six Nittany Lion women across the finish line ahead of the rest on the 6-kilometer course on the Penn State Golf Courses in 21 minutes, 17 seconds. She was followed by Leigha Anderson (21:27), Victoria Gerlach (21:38), Marta Klebe (21:40), Katie Rodden (21:41) and Stephanie Aldrich (21:48), while Abbie Benson was eighth.

Creese covered the 5.2-mile men’s course in 25:50 for his second win of the season, edging Bucknell’s Michael McGowan by 13 seconds. Nittany Lions Wade Endress (26:31) and Brannon Kidder (26:35) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Chris Campbell took ninth and Za’von Watkins was 20th.

The Nittany Lion women scored a perfect 15 points as a team to Bucknell’s 60 for second place. The Bison earned the men’s crown with 33 points to Penn State’s 39.
