Bellefonte’s boys and girls swim teams each picked up a victory over Mifflin County on Friday at the Burnham YMCA.
The Red Raiders breezed past the Huskies 98-39, while the Lady Red Raiders squeaked past the Lady Huskies 85-82.
“We are seeing a lot of improvment from our newer swimmers,” Bellefonte coach Lisa Newman said. “We didn’t have any DQs, which was good. We are ready for our next meet in Clearfield, which will be a challenge for us.”
Colton Schnars and Matt Horner led the way for Bellefonte’s boys with four wins each. They both were a part of the winning 200 medlay and 200 free relay teams. Schanrs then had victories in the 200 free and 100 butterfly, while Horner won the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke.
