Joe Woodman, a former State College High School swimmer, contributed 31 points to the University of Massachusetts’ effort in the recent Atlantic 10 championships.
Woodman placed fourth in the 1,650 in 15 minutes, 42.02 seconds. His time placed him fourth on the school’s all-time list.
He was sixth in the 500 freestyle in 4:31.20 and 14th in the 200 freestyle in 1:40.74.
The Minutemen finished to St. Bonaventure in the event.

Mitchell Port (Bellefonte, Edinboro) won his 88th bout with a 5-3 triumph over West Virginia’s Colin Johnston as Edinboro took down the Mountaineers 29-6 to finish their season at 11-3. Port is 24-0 and ranked No. 1 at 141. Also in that meet former Tyrone standout AJ Schopp won his 100th bout with a fall over Nathan Penesi in 4:36, giving him 50 falls in his career. His career mark is 100-12.
Leo Wortman (Bellefonte, Stevens Institute of Technology) won his first match by fall, but dropped 4-3 and 2-1 decisions at 157 pounds in the Centennial Conference Championships. The Ducks placed second to Ursinus for the team title.
Brian Scholly (State College, Juniata) has 135 rebounds, 46 assists, 10 steals, seven blocks and is scoring 2.8 points per game. Juniata is 15-10.
Kate McDonald (State College, Juniata) has a 15.8 scoring average, 267 rebounds, 90 assists, 91 steals and 24 blocks. Juniata is 14-11.
Dennis Fisher (Bald Eagle Area, Juniata) has 24 rebounds, seven assists, a pair of steals, seven blocks and a 1.8 scoring average.
Jena Matter (Bellefonte, Mansfield) finished her career at Mansfield with 16 points in a losing effort to Bloomsburg. Matter had a 14.5 scoring average, 220 rebounds, 40 assists, 42 steals and five blocked shots. Mansfield finished 0-26.
Brittany Butterworth (BEA, Pitt-Greensburg) has 23 rebounds, 36 assists, 17 steals and a 4.4 scoring average. Greensburg is 14-11.
Taylor Allison (State College, St. Francis) averages 1.1 points per game. She has eight rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. St. Francis is 11-15.
Jenna Altomare (State College, Kutztown) has a 4.5 scoring average, 27 rebounds, 13 assists and 13 steals. Kutztown finished at 9-16.
Kyle Kanaskie (State College, Truman State) averages 6.1 points per game. He has 71 rebounds, 53 assists and 17 steals. Truman State is 19-6.
Kaitlyn Miller (BEA, PSU-Fayette) had 240 rebounds, an 11.0 scoring average, 26 assists, 15 steals and 40 blocks. Fayette finished at 14-9, losing 86-84 in the conference semifinals to Penn State-Brandywine. Miller had 14 points and 13 rebounds in that game.
Maddie Bastress (Penns Valley, Washington & Jefferson) has 15 rebounds, six assists, three steals, a block and a 1.1 scoring average. W&J is 18-7.
John Crowe (State College, Susquehanna) placed fourth in the mile in the SU Open with a personal best time of 4:31.18.
Paul Crowe (State College, Susquehanna) took second in the mile at the SU Open in 4:29.32, a personal best.
