The State College hockey team saw its season come to an end Wednesday night, falling 4-1 to Bethel Park in the quarterfinals of the PIHL playoffs at Blade Runners.
Sey Yeaple set up Luc Michael for the lone goal for the Little Lions (10-11-1), as two of the team’s eight seniors playing in their finals games.
Jake Worcester scored twice and assisted on the other two goals for Bethel Park, the tournament’s top seed. With the Little Lions on their only power play of the game in the final minute, and with goalie Chris Rosselot to give the team a two-man attacking advantage, Worcester closed the scoring with an empty-net goal.
Rosselot finished with 31 saves.
