Kelly Chambers has made history with the Penn State-Altoona softball team.
Chambers, a senior outfielder from Bald Eagle Area, became the first player in program history to drive in 100 runs in her career. She reached that plateau with three RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of LaRoche last Wednesday.
Chambers is hitting .403 with 27 runs scored, 31 hits, seven doubles, three triples, four homers and 21 RBIs.
She currently stands first in career numbers in walks (45), total runs scored (248), RBIs (100), home runs (22) and doubles (36). She is second in career batting average (.425) and on-base percentage (.499)
Penn State-Altoona is 21-6.
Seth Tressler (Bellefonte, Mansfield) is hitting .325 with 29 runs scored, 39 hits, eight doubles, two homers and 24 RBIs. Mansfield is 16-15.
Justin Taylor (BEA, California, Pa.) is 4-4 with a 3.71 ERA. In 51 innings, he has given up 53 hits and 24 runs, 21 earned, while walking 12 and striking out 38. Cal is 20-15.

Jasa Mitchell (BEA, IUP) set the school record for home runs in a season when she hit her 10th, a solo shot, against Edinboro last week. She leads the team in hitting with a .419 average, runs scored with 23, hits with 36, homers with 10 and RBIs with 22. She is tied for for the team lead in doubles with seven and also has a triple. IUP is 16-10.
Lily Glunt (BEA, PSU-Altoona) reached a milestone by surpassing the 100-hit mark for her career. She now has 102. She is hitting .405 with 22 runs scored, 32 hits, 4 doubles, a triple and 24 RBIs.
Brittany Smith (Bellefonte, PSU-Altoona) is hitting .423 with 26 runs scored, 33 hits, five doubles, a triple, a homer and 13 RBIs.
Cassondra Ross (BEA, PSU-Altoona) is hitting .429 with six runs scored, nine hits, a double and five RBIs. In the circle, she is 2-0 with a 6.14 ERA. In 21 2/3 innings, she has allowed 31 hits and 19 runs, all earned, while waking seven and striking out 12.

Brice Beals (BEA, Lock Haven) placed fourth in the hammer throw at the Bucknell Bison Open. He was the top Div. 2 thrower in the field with his 171-5.5 effort.
Chloe Schmidt (State College, Illinois) placed fourth in the 400 at the Illinois Twilight meet.
Carolyn Darr (Penns Valley, Delaware) ran lead leg in the 4x100 relay at the Delaware Open with a time of 49.01 seconds.
Paul Crowe (State College, Susquehanna) was named the Landmark Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week after breaking a 31-year-old school record. Crowe won the 10,000 meters at the Bison Outdoor Classic in 30 minutes, 48.37 seconds, nearly a minute faster than his previous personal best.
John Crowe (State College, Susquehanna) recorded a personal best and the eighth fastest time in school history with a 15:19.25 timing in the 5,000 meters at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
Chris Borden (State College, George Mason) is 6-1 in singles and 18-4 in doubles. George Mason is 13-7.
Blake Gregory (State College, East Carolina) is 10-4 in singles and 4-2 in doubles. East Carolina is 17-6.

Ian Lakind (State College, RIT) is a member of the bowling team that will participate in the U.S. Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships Wednesday through Friday. A total of 16 teams will compete and bowl six four-game matches in the qualifying round.
Zach Czap (P-O, Lycoming) shot a career-best 82 to place 51st in a field of 105 at the Elizabethtown Spring Classic on the Hershey Country Club East course.
