Softball: Annual All-Star game postponed for week

The annual Pennsylvania Softball Coaches All-Star Game was postponed Thursday because of wet field conditions at Nittany Lion Softball Park.

The game, which features all-stars from District 6 and District 4, will be played June 26 at Beard Field. The District 6 Hall of Fame ceremonies will be held at 6 p.m. and the 10-inning game starts at 7 p.m.

The District 6 squad features 14 players from Centre County schools. The players are: Bald Eagle Area’s Makennah Dyke (pitcher); Bellefonte’s Vanessa Cooper (catcher), Erin Pugh (outfield) and Olivia Ripka (second base); Penns Valley’s Nicole Harbaugh (catcher), Megan Houser (second base), Courtney Ironside (third base), Ashley Struble (shortstop) and Tangie Lyons (outfield); Philipsburg-Osceola’s Haley Frank (catcher) and State College’s Lexi Mattivi (outfield), Michaela Rittenhouse (outfield), Megan Robert (second base) and Sharayah Simco (catcher).
