A three-hit shutout for Cole Hanley helped Beech Creek end Bellefonte’s season 3-0 Tuesday in the Central Penn League’s playoff semifinals.
Hanley struck out two and walked four, and also was backed by an error-free defense that turned three double plays.
RBI singles from Bryce Hanley and Clayton Butler, along with another run scoring on an error on Chuck Probst’s steal of third base, accounted for the Beech Creek runs.
Dan Roan took the loss, allowing six hits and two walks with two strikeouts in a complete-game loss.
