Penn State Men’s volleyball: Buckeyes win 1,000th game over Nittany Lions

The Penn State men’s volleyball team fell 26-24, 25-22, 25-23 to No. 12 Ohio State on Wednesday night.

It was the 1,000th win in Ohio State history. The Buckeyes (9-2) became the third program to reach the milestone, joining UCLA and Ball State. Nicolas Szerszen finished with 16 kills, 11 digs and three blocks for Ohio State, which won its sixth straight.

Aaron Russell finished with a team-high 14 kills for the Nittany Lions (3-7), who saw their three-match win streak snapped. Russell also had four digs and three blocks. Penn State’s Nick Goodell recorded 12 kills and five digs.

Connor Curry finished with 13 digs for Penn State.

The Nittany Lions host George Mason at 7 p.m. Saturday.
