County League Baseball: Klinger deals no-hitter for Clarence against Lemont

Cody Klinger pitched a gem of a game Tuesday evening.

The second-year pitcher for the Clarence Mounties delivered a no-hitter in a 10-0 triumph over the Lemont Ducks at Chambers Field in a Centre County Baseball League game.

Klinger, who just finished his redshirt junior season at East Stroudsburg, struck out 10 over six innings, and all that separated him from a perfect game were a pair of Mounties errors. It was his second career no-hitter in the league

Matt Fisher cracked a three-run home run and Ryan MacNamara crushed a two-run shot to lead the Clarence offense. Derek Jabco, Alex Struble and Brian Kochik each added doubles as part of the 14-hit attack.

Clarence (4-0) will travel to face Howard on Tuesday. Lemont (1-3) will travel to Pleasant Gap on Thursday.
