County League Baseball: Philipsburg rolls past Pleasant Gap

Philipsburg blanked Pleasant Gap 10-0 in five innings on Wednesday in Govenor’s Park.

The Pirates peaked in the fourth inning with five runs, then added four more in the fifth inning, taking advantage of four Peppers errors.

Philipsburg pitcher Mark Curtis struck out five in four innings while Parker Watson added three singles. Watson had a two-run singke in the fourth and Robbie Smith also had a two-run single in the frame.

Tyler Lalli led Pleasant Gap with a double and single.

Philipsburg and Pleasant Gap will face each other again on Sunday.
