Centre County League baseball: Potter, Lytle combine for one-hitter in Philipsburg’s win over Pleasant Gap

Josh Potter and Andy Lytle combined to throw a one-hitter in Philipsburg’s 2-0 win over Pleasant Gap on Sunday at Governor’s Park.

Potter picked up the win on the mound and didn’t allow a hit in his three innings of work. Lytle picked up a save and gave up the hit.

The Pirates (4-0) got on the board in the first inning thanks to Matt McCamley, who drove in Drew Bryan, with a double to center field. Philipsburg tacked on an insurance run in the sixth inning thanks to Derek Shaw’s infield single.

The Pirates will face Howard on Thursday with the Peppers hosting Lemont on Tuesday.
