American Legion baseball: State College drops Bellefonte

Tucker Treibold scored the winning run after an infield error in a 6-5 victory over Bellefonte on Tuesday.

Gavin Shaffer-Hood delivered six strikeouts in four innings of relief for the win for State College.

Bellefonte was led by Taylor Butts’ double and three RBIs. Colton Treaster added a triple.

State College (3-1) will face Altoona on Friday. Bellefonte (3-4) will meet Huntingdon on Wednesday.

Senior Scott Stossel filled in for Roman Bravo-Young again and came away with his first Penn State dual win. Brady Berge made a return to the Nittany Lions’ lineup in dominating Illinois 39-9 on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019.
